AS Monaco: 1998–2004, 2011–2013
At Monaco, Ludo became a key player and eventually club captain. He led the team to the 2004 UEFA Champions League final, scoring three goals during the knockout stages. Monaco also won the Coupe de la Ligue (2003) and the Trophée des Champions (2000) during his time. He returned to the club later in his career, helping them win Ligue 2 in 2013.
FC Barcelona: 2004–2007
Ludo joined Barcelona under Frank Rijkaard and was part of a highly successful team that won two La Liga titles and the 2006 Champions League. He played in the semi-final win over AC Milan and contributed significantly throughout the winning campaign.
AS Roma: 2007-2008
Ludo joined AS Roma in 2007, where he played a supporting role in a competitive squad, contributing to their Coppa Italia triumph and their strong Serie A campaign during his single season with the club.
Paris Saint-Germain FC: 2008–2011
At PSG, Ludo was a regular starter and played a part in winning the 2010 Coupe de France. His experience and leadership were valuable during a period of transition for the club.
